Spyro is the famous purple dragon from the PlayStation era that debuted in 1998. He was also considered by many to be a former mascot of the console due to his popularity.

With the entire dragon kingdom under Gnasty Gnorc's crystallization spell, it's up to Spyro to save everyone, using his fire breath and charge attacks as offensive abilities.

Accompanying Spyro on his journey is Sparx Dragonfly, his best friend. Without Sparx, Spyro would easily die with one hit from an enemy.

Bright yellow means Sparx is still healthy, blue means he's been hit once, green means he's been hit twice, and finally a third hit will make Sparx disappear completely.
